Silver Morgan Dollar

Reverse
obverse
The silver Morgan is the most beautiful coin in the world.  The coin was minted from 1878-1904 and then again in 1921.  (From 1905-1920 sliver was a little scarce.)  The coin was minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark), New Orleans (with an O mint mark) Denver only on the 1921 coin (with a D mint mark) Carson City (CC mint mark) and San Francisco (with an S mint mark).  You can find the mint mark under the olive wreath.  George T. Morgan was hired to design a new dollar coin.  Mr. Morgan was trained at the London Royal Mint before coming to the US.  The coin was minted as a result of the Bland-Allison act in 1878, which required that about 2 to 4 million dollars worth of domestic silver had to become coins each month.
The reason I picked the Morgan Dollar first is because I think it is the best coin we have ever made to date.  I carry one with me everyday for luck.
